With the recent screening of the Channel Five relocation show ‘Property Dreams’, Corfu-based estate agency Luvcorfu Properties recently celebrated its third appearance on British television in two years. Luvcorfu previously featured on the ITV travel show ‘Wish You Were Here?’ and on Channel 4’s ‘A Place in the Sun’.
‘Property Dreams’ followed the fortunes of a recent widow, Jane Horner, as she searched two locations, North Devon and Corfu, for a second home. Although only 10% of participants buy a property directly through the show, Jane picked the property shown by Luvcorfu, a renovated two-bedroom house in Rachtades with a garden and great view. The sale went through successfully, and Jane is now a part-time resident of this lovely unspoilt village in North West Corfu.
Luvcorfu Director Harry Tsoukalas believes it is no accident that UK media companies approach Luvcorfu first. ‘As well as on TV, we’ve been featured in the Telegraph newspaper twice, in Homes Overseas Magazine, and in a major magazine in Holland. I believe it’s a matter of trust, it’s becoming known that we take care of our clients to ensure that every sale goes through with no hitches, and without problems stored up for the future.’
‘Wish You Were Here’ followed the fortunes of Peter and Valerie on a Corfu house hunt with Luvcorfu Properties. They picked out a mansion in the northern village of Agii Douli, but the property was snapped up before they could put in a firm offer. In ‘A Place in the Sun’, the featured couple saw an old farmhouse in the mountains with Luvcorfu, and liked this one best out of the four they viewed, however in the end they decided to continue their search at a future date. |
